Miss Chicken Takes the Track Once Again

After a 3 year rebuilding project, Miss Chicken rolled onto the track for the first time in almost 35 years. In August 2005, Miss Chicken was honored to take the US Flag around Swinging Bridge Raceway during the National Anthem. She was also permitted to take a few hot laps to thrill the crowd. After 35 years of rusting away, she performed very well. It took a lot of nerves for Bill Steadman to open her up and take that first turn at speed. Bill was one of the original drivers of Miss Chicken in the 1960’s. It was good to see him back behind the wheel.
